Lifestyle choices or doctor’s orders may have you or a loved one cutting back on sugar. Well, you can still enjoy dessert with this Sugar Free Buttercream recipe!
Are you a buttercream fan? I seriously cannot get enough of it. When I am baking, I have to force myself not to grab the bowl and a spoon and hide in the closet. Traditional buttercream, of course, is largely comprised of sugar. What if your docs say you can’t have sugar…or you are just trying to cut back?
Well, hold on to your mixing bowl, because the folks at the Craftsy blog have a recipe for you! Now, I have to say, this is not calorie-free by any means, but if you are going sugar-free, it’s a great alternative to traditional buttercream. Pudding is the magic ingredient and while this recipe is for vanilla buttercream, you can use different flavored pudding to add your own twist! You can even make it dairy-free as well by replacing with dairy-free ingredients.
This versatile recipe is one that we can enjoy with a lot less guilt. Our health and waistline will be thanking us! Isn’t it great to be able to have our cake and eat it too?
