How about taking a trip back to the childhood dinner table this week? Few things conjure such memories of weeknight family dinners like good old Sloppy Joes. Let’s face it, they couldn’t be easier to whip up, they are filling and they seem to please pretty much all members of the family.
But what if you don’t have any Manwich in the cupboard? Don’t fret! Serve ’em up alongside some fries and coleslaw and you are good to go! Easy peasy and your inner child will be oh-so-satisfied.

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- Hamburger buns
- Toppings of choice: pickles, cheddar slices…
