6 Facts To Know Before Washing Your Hair

Don’t let your hair give away your age.  Before washing your hair again, check out these 6 tips to keep your tresses soft and healthy.

I once heard a quote that has stayed with me.  “Don’t worry about every little thing that you wear.  As long as you have great shoes and hair, you will look like a million bucks.”  But let’s admit it, keeping hair healthy and looking great as we age can be difficult.  Hair naturally dries and becomes more brittle through the decades, which makes maintaining your perfect style more challenging.

One thing that has helped me is to shampoo less frequently.  While I used to wash pretty much every single day (I think the shampoo industry convinced me that that was necessary), my hair simply no longer needs that, nor can it tolerate it.  Once I got “permission” from my hair stylist, I started skipping shampoos for up to 3 days and it has made a huge difference in the health of my hair.  Once I am on day 2 or 3, it now styles much easier.  And I don’t know what I did without dry shampoo!
