Start Your Fall Days Off Right With A Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

If you can’t get enough pumpkin, a Pumpkin Pie Smoothie might be just the way to start your day.  Blended with yogurt, banana and spices, it’s a nutritious, satisfying energy boost.

Pumpkin is a superfood.  Yay!!  Raw pumpkin has only 15 calories per 1/2 cup, and is full of iron, zinc, and fiber.  It’s also high in vitamin C and beta carotene.  This is spectacular news considering every time we turn around, we are finding another amazing pumpkin recipe.  But let’s face it, many of these are in the form of calorie-rich coffee concoctions or baked goods and not exactly good for us.

How about a breakfast alternative that blends together calcium-rich yogurt, potassium-packed banana and powerful pureed pumpkin?  Shugary Sweets is sharing one of her favorite breakfast blends with us.  Sweetened with a squirt of honey or agave and flavored with pie spice, this sounds like a delicious way to wake up!
