Homemade Bath Salts Made As Easy As 1, 2, 3. Seriously!

Martha Stewart always has amazing ideas…of which many I just cannot follow nor have the time or energy to replicate. BUT here is a super easy way to mix my own bath salts for when I get that perfect moment (alone) for some ‘tub-soaking-me-time!’ OR mix some up as gifts for your girlfriends…they’re gonna love ya’ for it!

Here is what you need to make your own bath salts for that perfect, warm, inviting and soothing bath we all long for…hmmm 🙂

  • Coarse sea salt
  • Epsom salts
  • Baking soda
  • Essential oils
  • Food coloring

And follow these very simple (3) steps and you’re done!!

  1. In a large bowl, mix to combine: 6 parts coarse sea salt; 3 parts epsom salts, to soothe tired muscles and reduce inflammation; and 1 part baking soda, to soften waters and alleviate skin irritation.
  2. Add a few drops of essential oils, and combine.
  3. Add a few drops of food coloring, until you achieve the desired shade. If you intend to present the bath salts as gifts, be sure to store them in a stoppered and labeled container to keep out moisture.

That’s it! Now, go, and enjoy a warm bath! (if it were only that easy)
