Want Dessert For Breakfast? Try Apple Pie Pancakes!

What’s better than apple pie for dessert?  Apple Pie Pancakes for breakfast!  You must treat yourself to this warm and flavorful breakfast goody.

Every once in awhile, we just want something a little more substantial for breakfast.  Yogurt is fine for most days, but sometimes it’s nice to treat ourselves.   Pancakes are always a favorite in our house, but sometimes, they can be a little hum drum.  You can add some chocolate chips or fruit to the batter, but that is still a fairly two dimensional taste.

We love this recipe from All Things Thrifty that actually adds spices and shredded apples to the batter so that the pancakes, even without the apple topping, taste just like apple pie.  This is the perfect recipe to try out as the change of seasons approaches and apples will be soon be at their peak.  Chances are that you already have these ingredients right in your pantry!  We just want to dig right in…how about you?
