Adorable Pie Cupcakes Deliciously Combine Cake And Pie

Do you hate having to choose between pie and cupcakes?  Now you can have both with these clever recipes for Cherry, Pumpkin and Pecan Pie Cupcakes!

If you want to bring a little unexpected to your fall table, try these twists on 3 classic pie recipes.  Better Homes & Gardens makes it easy, starting with a base boxed cake mix, then choosing your add-ins based on which pie you want.  That pumpkin spice is calling my name as a coffee break treat and the cherry and pecan might deserve a place at our upcoming fall festival!

Here’s your ingredient list for Pie Cupcakes:

Base recipe:

  • 1 Boxed Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs

Cherry Pie Cupcakes:

  • Buttercream frosting
  • 2 21 oz. cans cherry pie filling

Pumpkin Pie Cupcakes:

  • 2 3/4 t. pumpkin pie spice
  • 6 oz. soft cream cheese
  • 1 1/4 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup thawed frozen whipped topping

Pecan Pie Cupcakes:

  • 3 1/2 cups chopped, toasted pecans
  • 2 cups caramel ice cream sauce
