Creamy Margarita Popsicles Are Drinks And Dessert In One

What’s better than a Margarita after a long, hot day?  How about Creamy Margarita Popsicles to bring a little fiesta to your evening?

 

We think any time of year is Margarita time, but wouldn’t you agree that Cinco De Mayo, Mexico’s celebration of battle victory over France, is a great excuse to make some of these sweet, tart, salty, delightful drinks?  But we are not going to be content with just any old recipe, are we?  Nope – let’s take it up a few notches by combining drinks with dessert for the most amazing adult popsicles of the season!

But don’t worry about having to scavenge through recipes to find something good. The amazing and creative folks over at Host The Toast are bringing us the most delicious concoction and all the sweetness that comes with it! This is truly the best of both worlds with drinks and dessert. I can just imagine how good these would taste outside after a long, hot day. What do you think? Here are the ingredients that you will need to make Creamy Margarita Popsicles.

  • 1¼ cup fresh lime juice (about 8 limes), plus 4 limes for stabilizing the popsicle sticks
  • 1 (14oz) can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup tequila
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice (optional)
  • Kosher salt or margarita salt
You will also need:
  • 12 (3oz) Dixie cups
  • Small popsicle sticks or craft spoons
  • A pitcher or large cocktail shaker
