The Tiny Details In This Tiny Town Will Blow Your Mind!

This woman has found a huge passion and yet it’s all so TINY! Meet Lily Barton. She’s a 73 great-grand-mother and has found the perfect way to spend her days. And has even brought her husband into the tiny loop. Her hubby, Derek, (83) is her construction partner and helps build the bigger homes and buildings for her Barton Village. Take a look – her attention to the details is truly fascinating!

In Lily and Derek’s spare bedroom located in their West Yorkshire, England home, you’ll find the most fascinating guest room you have ever seen. This 9×11 square foot room holds an entire town – affectionally called Barton Village. Named after its found and creator, Lily and Derek Barton. And for 15 years, Lily has been dreaming and creating the village down to the candy in the candy jars. WOW – take a look!

Derek is a retired joiner – which is someone who is highly skilled at woodworking and construction – and has been critical in Lily’s overall game-plan in creating Barton Village. Complete with electricity and residents that are living life to the fullest.

Lily has very carefully created each and every figurine in her village. And you could never guess WHAT they are made of…sugar! YUP! It can take as long as 1 week to complete one tiny resident. Isn’t that amazing?

Lily’s attention to details is truly commendable. One house has a small fish bowl with a goldfish inside, while another has picture frames sitting around with pictures inside. The intricate details MAKE this small village come alive!
