• 2 teaspoons rum (or pure vanilla extract)
• 1 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour
•  2 and 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
•  1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
•  1/4 teaspoon salt
•  2 tablespoons cornstarch

• • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
• • 1 and 1/2 cups dark brown sugar (packed)
• • 1 teaspoon rum (or vanilla extract)
• • 1/8 teaspoon salt
• • 12 pineapple rings
