Uses For Recycled Tea Boxes

Tea boxes are amazing. Their uses far surpass just boxing tea. Try this fun DIY below!

Start out by painting your tea box with a white acrylic paint. We painted our 2-3 times for good measure, allowing the paint to dry between each paint job.

Put a thin layer of decoupage to the exterior of the box and apply thin layers of tissue paper.  Then give time to dry.

To add a handle you can glue on scrap ribbon or other fabric. Just attach it to the underside of the top lid.

For additional decoration, glue or decoupage ribbon around the box. Then glue a button on the side and the top flap. After it dries, tie some #10 cotton thread around the two buttons to hold the top flap shut.
